How Birmingham Commercial Fence works — and what it isn't

Birmingham Commercial Fence — compare commercial fence project options from local installers. This page is the plain-language version of the whole arrangement: what the service does, how installers are checked, how the service gets paid, and what it does not promise. If anything here surprises you, that's a reason to ask before you submit the form.

What this service is

Birmingham Commercial Fence is a project-matching service, not a fencing contractor. We don't own equipment, employ installers, pull permits, or put up fences. We operate this website for the Birmingham, Alabama metro, take in commercial fence project requests, and pass each request to one independent local fence professional who does that kind of work. Your quote, your contract, your payment, and your warranty are all directly with that professional — never with us.

The three steps

1

You describe the project

Property type, project type, material, height, approximate length, and timeline — about a minute on the form. The details matter: fence pricing is length × material × height, and a well-described project gets a serious first call instead of a scoping interrogation.

2

We match one local installer

Your request goes to one independent local operator in Jefferson or Shelby county who does this kind of work — not a call center, not a list of bidders, not a national lead reseller. If no matched installer can take the project, we email you and say so.

3

They contact you; you decide

The installer calls you directly, walks the property line, and gives a free initial quote. You also get their name and direct number once they claim your request. Hire them or don't — there's no obligation, and nothing about the match obligates you to anyone.

How installers are checked

Before an installer can receive a first request through this site, they must complete a document check:

  • Any license required for the work, shown as a current document.
  • General liability insurance, shown as a current certificate.
  • Workers' compensation, shown as a current certificate where the operator has employees.

That check is a floor, not a guarantee. You should still confirm your installer's license and coverage yourself before work begins — ask for certificates; a professional operator sends them without blinking — and your agreement with the installer is what governs the work.

How the service is paid for

Requesting a quote is free for property owners, managers, HOAs and institutions, always. Fence professionals may pay this service for matching — a per-request or periodic fee for being the operator who receives projects like yours. That payment never comes out of your pocket, is never added to your quote, and doesn't obligate you to hire anyone. It's disclosed here and beside every form on this site because a matching service you can't see the economics of isn't one you should trust with a $10,000 perimeter.

What we deliberately do — and don't do

  • Commercial scope, on purpose. This service matches commercial, industrial, HOA, multifamily and institutional installations and substantial replacements. Residential requests aren't routed to installers — this service currently matches commercial and community projects only. Small repairs and single-gate jobs are excluded for the same reason — a local company's service department will get to you faster.
  • No emergency-service claims. If you flag a "Security breach — fence down / property unsecured," we ask the first available installer to claim the request within one hour. That is a request to independent businesses, not a dispatch promise: we are not a security company, we keep no crews on standby, and an exposed property should be secured — and local authorities contacted as appropriate — first.
  • Budgeting ranges, labeled as such. The prices on this site are planning ranges drawn from published per-foot pricing, presented so you can budget and read a quote critically. They are not quotes, bids, or guarantees — your number comes from an installer who has seen your property line.
  • No performance promises. We don't promise response times beyond the claim requests described above, completion dates, or outcomes. The installer you hire makes — and keeps — those commitments.

Questions about a request

Email [email protected] — it reaches the person who runs this service. If an installer we matched mishandled your project, say so: matching quality is the whole business, and that feedback is how operators stay matched.

Ready when you are

One form, one matched local installer, a free initial quote — and no obligation.
